The DV-2025 Diversity Visa Lottery registration period is officially open. The registration portal is now open and will remain accessible until November 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM EST. To be eligible for selection, applicants must submit their entries during this specified registration period.
The DV-2024 registration period ran from October 5, 2022, to November 8, 2022. Applicants who entered during that time can now check online to see if they were selected. Instructions on what to do after being selected will be provided on the official lottery website.
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, also known as the Green Card Lottery, is designed to provide permanent residency to individuals from countries with low immigration rates to the United States. Each year, 55,000 visas are available through the program.
There is a limited registration period for the Diversity Visa Lottery each fiscal year. To register for the DV-2026 program, you can visit the official lottery website during the registration month, which will be announced by the State Department in the coming months.
